Tween Waters Wedding

Gina & Frances’ wedding was one I will never forget. Destination weddings often bring people in from various point in the couples lives. And as you can imagine, sometimes you get the family group, the college group, hometown group, adult friends, etc. What struck me about this wedding and photographer, John Cain, said the same thing, so you know it has to be true, is how all of the guests at the wedding felt like a big community surrounding them with nothing but love and support. John continued on to say, “It’s hard to put into words how the couple seemed to be enveloped by all of their loved ones. Beyond all guests traveling to Captiva Island from wherever home was, you could just feel how overjoyed everyone was to be there to celebrate them.”

As a photographer, John gets to see a lot of different traditions and details of weddings. When I asked him what was his favorite thing about this wedding, he said, “I loved how both parents walked each of them down the aisle to each other. Their wedding celebration was amplified by their family’s love and support all weekend.” Their beach reception was perfect. We had a rustic arch decorated with monstera and palm leaves and bright flowers that contrasted against the white, sandy beaches.

After the beach ceremony, we moved to a cocktail hour, so the brides could sneak off for some more photos as Mrs. & Mrs. When they returned to their beautiful tented reception, it was time for the party to begin. The tent was beautiful decorated with tall, heavy greenery, hand written calligraphy name cards on each place, and lush white flowers. The dark wood chair contrasted perfectly against the crisp white linens and natural colored chargers.

After dinner, the whole group danced the night away. It was an incredible night and I’m so grateful to be a part of it.
