South Seas Island Resort

Jen and Brett will forever hold a special place in my heart. They became like family and their two little ones, oh don’t even get me started! We became fast friends when she reached out to me in August for her November wedding. We did not have a lot of time to plan, but that didn’t matter - we hit the ground running and our time together could not have gone better.

The two were married at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva with their two children as part of the ceremony. The day was incredibly windy. You would have thought a tropical storm was rolling in. The wind made for some beautiful veil photos (see below), but it was challenging on mostly everything else. Signature Florals came to the rescue and rearranged their arch, so it would not become a casualty of the wind. The couple exchanged vows in front of an intimate gathering of family and friends.

The guests enjoyed cocktail hour while the couple grabbed a few portraits and then moved to the lawn for the rest of the evening. We set up two long rectangle tables with string lighting and again, Zoe and her team at Signature Florals, arranged the tables perfectly with tall skinny taper candles, lovely florals and accented with lemons which had a special meaning to the newlyweds. We also used them in the insanely beautiful cake from Sweetified and wedding favors.
