South Seas Captiva Wedding

I really loved Sara & Jacob’s wedding for several reasons - #1. They were just so fun, but #2-#459 was their style and our design for their wedding. It had all the traditional elements, but an extra splash of character and sentimental details.

I remember their wedding decor being a fusion of tropical and boho. I love the opportunity to mix and match wedding styles, like this “seashore boho”. We incorporated driftwood, light blue candles, orchids and roses and pampas grass to nod to the beach, garden and bohemian vibe.⁣ Another favorite of their ceremony was designing their main altar without an arch or flowers on a pedesal. I’ll say those are the normal wedding choices, but again, we wanted to blend the two looks together to create something very special for them.

Each of these bottles of wine beautifully surrounding the card table marked a special date that the couples would celebrate (engagement, birthday, etc). Guests were invited to sign the bottles. I'm a sucker for the personal, special details.⁣ And to make things even more interesting, wine can explode! It was a really hot day. Within 20 minutes of us placing all the bottles out the corks started popping out! We had to make a mad dash to the nearest wine shop to replace eight of the 12 bottles.

The reception was such a joyous event celebrating this lovely couple.
